A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Advanced Class 25/26

Romeo and Juliet are barely dead when Shakespeare writes a satyr play: same disease, but now comedy, merciless.

The city of Athens and its laws. Ruled by Theseus, slayer of beasts. Within it, four individuals who declare their feelings absolute. A flight into the forest, where the fairies dwell. A mind-altering substance that resolves what has no resolution. And six craftsmen-actors who mend what was broken.

The Human Acting Advanced Class 2025/26 alias the company Kuss und Krawall plays A Midsummer Night’s Dream as a scratchy Renaissance comedy — guaranteed free from Romantic softeners.
