The soldier has sex with the prostitute, the prostitute with the count, the count with the actress, and the actress with the poet. And so it goes on and on, because in this variation on Arthur Schnitzler’s ‘Reigen’, the protagonists give themselves over, without restraint, to what is sometimes called ‘instinctive behaviour’. Take a look into the abyss of human sexual behaviour in the bustling Vienna of around 1900, staged by a playful ensemble of actors who cast even the darkest interpersonal moments in a humorous light.
